Workout of the Day

One of the CrossFit Games Events:

5 rounds for time of:
275 pound Deadlifts, 5 reps (185 pounds for women)
10 Burpees (with clap overhead while airborne)

Update We will be open today, Saturday, normal hours 9-1

Mike, Ian, Tommy Gun, Dan and Mike's cousin Joe have arrived safely in California and we will be reporting from the games tomorrow.

Last night we met up with Allison NYC, Tony Blauer, the Glassmans, Brian Mulvaney and others and we had a blast. Mike's cousin, Joe Gaspare, got a new nickname. From now on he is
"Joey Bag of Donuts."

We're off to the Games in a few minutes.

20:52 - Did the Mothership WOD

In any order, perform the following three workouts:

Three rounds, 21-15- and 9 reps, for time of:
95 pound Thruster
Pull-ups

5 rounds for time of:
275 pound Deadlifts, 5 reps
10 Burpees

Run either 750m on a steep trail

* Fran 5:21 (PR)
* Deadlifts/Burpees 12:11
o Did 10 reps of Deadlifts by mistake. Extra credit!!!
* Run 3:20 on treadmill at 12% grade

Yesterday's workout:

Walk a little over a mile to the MARTA station.

Run the Peachtree in 54:30, could have probably done it in about 50 min, but my girlfriend and I were forced to dodge and weave through the thousands of people who just decided the wanted to stop and walk right in the middle of the street, or not move to the right when they were slowing down. Where's the race ettiquette?

3+ mile walk back to my apt.

2 hours of being abused on a tube by my brother pulling me on a jet ski (a great arm and shoulder workout).

Stuffing myself full of ribs, brunswick stew, and blueberry and strawberry trifle in the shape of an American flag.

Asleep by 11.

Thanks to Laura and Damon for training today; awesome new space!!! Marie and I ran 1.5k then did the deadlift burpee workout, now I'm exhausted.
