Workout of the Day
Push jerk 3-3-3-3-3 reps
Post loads to comments.
New England Journal of Medicine published last week an Israeli study vindicating low carb diets. Comparison was made between low fat/calorie restricted, Mediterranean low carb/calorie restricted, and a low carb/unrestricted diets. Confounding the theoretical foundation of low fat diets, the low carb/unrestricted diet produced greater weight loss, while improving lipid profiles. Ask your Doc: How can you eat more calories and lose weight? How can you eat fat and improve lipid profiles? The answer, as we know, lies in the hormone response to food.

Legs still ridiculously sore from this past weekend, so did "J.T."...
21-15-9
handstand pushups (negatives to 1 abmat)
jump and hold ring dips
pushups on knees
23:40
BRUTAL to throw myself back onto the wall for every rep, but feel like I'm getting stronger....:)
AM crew looking strong today, as usual!

Technically, with the low carb unrestricted calorie diet, you are eating less calories than you are expending (that is if you are also losing weight on the diet). However, you do this subconsciously because of the favorable hormonal response.

Hey Julie, nice job with the one arm filthy 50. I think my mind melted during that workout yesterday and I couldn't will myself to go any faster than 31:13.

I drove home a beaten man last night. No love lost between me and filthy. See you guys tonite. Also, if anyone is interested we are heading out to CFDahlonega on Sat at 0800 to help out one of their folks with a little benefit. We're taking a little collection for Bea of CF Dahlonega. She got her car busted into at the last challenge and was needing a little help. We'll be doing a WOD and a BBQ afterward. Should be fun and some good camaraderie.

After a wonderful long weekend of tubing, skiing, boating, knee boarding, and drinking at Lake Oconee with Katie's (re: not the Katie that made the comment about Jason and Mike G shirtless) entire family, it was the Filthy Fifty for us tonight.
Me: 38:33 (Rx)
Katie: 57:55 (Rx for women)
That is one brutal workout.
