After doing Saturday's workout yesterday (45-135# hang squat cleans), today's was brutal.

On the bright side, I'M DONE! You all still have to do it!!

My shoulders are still SO sore.
Although this looks like my type of workout...my shoulders will not like me.

Also, it looks like 135 is the new 95. And 95 is the new 65. Ouch.

William,
I left a CD with the pictures I took of you on Sat at the shooting range. It's on the table to the left of the computer; gold CD titled W-Shoot.
I gave a copy to Dan as well in case he wants to put any pics up of you being a bad ass in a Crossfit t-shirt!

I did Helen yesterday for the first time since March 10:45, a PR by 50 seconds.
Mike G- i shouldn't have taken that last water break! or any break for that matter.... next time i need to go through with unbroken sets if i want to get under 10:00

Thanks Julie for doing the SP, PP, PJ workout with me. Thanks to Mike and Ian for staying past 9pm till we were done and even checking form when the clock went past 9pm. ha
PR on PP and PJ, not on SP.

Mike, when they put this workout up I was thinking the exact same thing. This looks like fun and also things I need to work on. Maybe we will get lucky and this will be one of the challenge workouts. ;-)

WOW, talk about low intensity. Just tried doing the WOD with the weights I found at my parents' place in NJ - got 1 round in 3:24 and stopped. That's why I was gymnast - have to show off whenever I do something.
Soccer tonight will be more fun.

Too bad I missed this one...I need to work on cleans, as usual, and haven't done push jerks in months....
More stares from cars passing by...Did 4 rounds of the following...
Run 642 meters (don't ask)
20 situps
20 knee pushups (lots of fun on wet grass/dirt!)

BTW- My Monday workout was closer to 3 rounds of "stuff", running closer to 1,000 meters, rather than 800M...just thought I'd give myself a "pat on the back"...;)

That video is similar to Cirque du Soleil stuff. That one's a little more gay though.
Still freakishly amazing! just unreal....
Posted by: Heidi_CFATL | July 02, 2008 at 02:09 PM
Holy crap, that is insane, Mike. As for its weirdness, yeah I wouldn't show that video to my children, but yeah I have never seen strength like that before. Notice especially at 2:38 - WTF?!

Wow. That was a hard workout. Got it done in under 30 minutes (28:50). Now, my legs will definitely be hurting for the Peachtree on Friday. Vas can come by and laugh at all the runners.

kba, it was fun working out with you last night, even though we had to deal with those silly chatty schoolgirls...Thanks again Mike & Ian for sticking around for us slowpokes to finish up!
Got a PR on the PP. Came really close twice on the PJ, but was just too tired at that point. Will definitely get it next time.

Mike G- I didn't know you were into that kind of thing. I feel creepy just for watching it. If I HAD to pick, my favorites were the hand to crotch and head to crotch moves, wow.

Amy, I knew you would say something like that.

After lugging a bunch of mats around and assembling our rowers, I decided to inaugurate our new gym by trying out today's WOD.
93#, because we don't have all our weights in yet.

Concerning the towels around kness, if any one is interested, my team sells the knee sleeves you see me and Jason wear. They are definintely an alternative to tape and towel! Let me know if you are interested.
As for everyone who has commented on the YouTube video, I learned a long time ago that if I can't do what I see other people accomplish, no matter how strange, wierd, or "gay" it may seem, I ususally don't comment on it unless it's "that was awesome!" That is what I would define and muscle control and bodily in-tune.

Chandler, don't take things so seriously :)) It's OBVIOUS that they are amazing and awesome and I will never be able to do anything like that, that goes unsaid. Us CFATL's just like to have some fun sometimes!

Recovering from a week of all my kids being sick, followed by three days of me being sick. It was hard to get back into the gym. It's hard to work out when you haven't eaten but one meal in the last three days and are five lbs lighter.
Anyway, did the Shoulder Workout from earlier this week. I will do this workout sometime else; it looks awesome.
Loads in lbs:
SP: 95-100-105-110[f]-105
PP: 115-125-130-125-115
PJ: 115-125-135[tied PR for regular push jerks]-145[split jerks, PR]-125

I absolutely loved this workout! It is now my new favorite. I also chalk that up to working out in a very competitive group today.

I really have NO idea how I did this. It felt a lot longer and I was convinced Mike messed something up with the timer. But Walter's and Julie's times made sense...so I guess it's a miracle. I am happy :)
I liked the workout though, it seemed to play up to my strengths. I thank Chandler for all the lifts he makes me do :-D
